Neuroscience

Dr. Kaushik Ram began with his interest in Zoology, finishing his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in 2003 and his Masters degree (MSc) with First Class Honors in sensory-motor learning in 2008, both at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. In 2010 he undertook a PhD in NeuroImaging genetics with the Brain Dynamics Centre at the University of Sydney. For his PhD he used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to recreate a 3D landscape of the brain. He used algorithms to model how much of the brain architecture can be shaped by experience. After finishing his PhD he worked for an investment company to develop neurotechnology to improve cognitive performance metrics such as decision making, pattern recognition and stress management.
